Using Washable Face Masks

Washable face masks are very useful. I have used them in the past and again I have washed them off. They leave no residue and are easy to remove with a sponge, a washcloth and a shower cap. You can also use your airbrush to clean your face mask. If you decide to use an airbrush to clean your face masks, be sure that you read the instructions carefully. It is possible to over-clean your face mask, so it is always important to follow the directions on the airbrush.

Most people prefer washable face masks over reusable ones because the cloths can be replaced. For me though, I like the ease of clean up. With a disposable filter, I can simply throw the used cloth in the trash. As far as cost goes, they are usually about one-third the cost of a reusable one and that makes them even more affordable.

If you are considering washable face masks, consider whether you would like a fabric used or a cloth filter. The fabric used mask will need to be replaced every couple of months while a cloth filter will last much longer and can be washed in the dishwasher on a cycle. There are also several types of disposable masks. For example, there are ones made from silicone rubber that are similar to clay masks. These types of filters are often referred to as “lid” masks and are typically used for allergy sufferers. Another common type of disposable mask is made of latex.

Washable face masks also come in several different varieties. The first is the standard cotton variety, which is popular due to their flexibility. Cotton cloths can be washed and then reused several times before they need to be replaced. Another popular option is the “ear loops” variety of masks. Earloops attach to the earmuffs or head grips and have small loops that connect to the mask fabric.

Washable face masks can be purchased in single pieces, single-layered packs, or in multiple pieces or multiple layered packs. Generally speaking, the more pieces or layers that are included in the pack the less expensive the kit will be. The three layers offered generally range in cost from approximately fifty dollars to one hundred dollars. Some of the most common brands of washable face masks include Elemis, Proactiv and Murad.

To further aid in the fight against allergies and improve your health, consider donating your washable masks instead of purchasing them. There are numerous charitable organizations that accept washable masks and sell them at a reduced price. All of the proceeds from each of these reusable fabric sales go towards helping those in need. The National Association of Boards of Cosmetology Examiners is one organization that collects and sells these types of fabric for their benefactors.

The Masque Corporation is providing you with seamless, protective and anti-bacterial masks. They offer both reusable face masks & disposable face masks in bulk.
